During the COVID-19 lockdown, many Thai teachers have been visiting their students at home to provide lessons and homework directly.

One Thai teacher shared a cute moment when she visited her students to collect their homework and found them enjoying their time in the countryside after completing their school work.

Parents left a letter with finished homework

Wanthida Wongsachan, the director of Baan Don Yang Tungnoi school in Nakhon Pathom province shared her students’ stories on Facebook.

This are so cute, and telling of how different life is in the countryside. People outside Bangkok are usually closer to their communities and know each other better, especially neighbours living in the same village.

Agriculture is the main source of income for many of these families, so young children from such villages are equipped with both academic and agricultural skills which are important for their future.

Schools in Thailand are going to open very soon, likely in July. We hope they can go back to enjoying learning in the classroom and playing at school with their buddies as soon as possible!
