Granny finds giant mushrooms in Thailand
Two months ago, we heard of a Thai YouTuber who had made a groundbreaking discovery of a new tarantula called “Taksinus Bambus”.
While this discovery marked the first time in 104 years that the rare species was found in Asia, another recent finding that happened at the end of March 2022 also captured a ton of attention.
Here’s the story of a granny in Loey province who stumbled upon a trio of giant mushrooms in the forest.

Granny discovers giant mushrooms in Loey province, Thailand
On 31st March 2022, a trio of giant mushrooms was discovered by 66 year-old villager, Budsadee Thongpun, in Thailand’s Loey province.

The elderly woman told the media reporter that she stumbled upon the enormous mushrooms while picking edible fungi emerging from the ground in the forest.

According to Sanook, the giant mushrooms are reportedly around 60-70 cm wide and 3-5KG in weight.
Following the granny’s discovery, other villagers who heard the news flocked to her house to find clues for winning lottery numbers from the shape of the mushrooms.

The elderly woman also said that she would give certain pieces of the giant fungi to neighbours and close relatives.
