Age is significant to us in many aspects of life. For example, you’re only allowed to do things like drink alcohol or drive a car when you’re 18 in Thailand.

However, sometimes, age is just a number, and these newly-wed lovebirds prove that. This 67-year-old Thai businessman was single for 10 years, and has finally found love with his 27-year-old bride – that’s 40 years his junior.

This viral post was shared by Facebook user Chettha Songthaveepol, who posted the couples’ photos.

“The groom had been single for many years, and now at almost the age of 70, he’s found the love of his life. 10 years ago, I promised to attend his wedding – no matter where I was, I’d be back.”

Mr. Songthaveepol, who was a guest, talked about how happy he was to see the couple together. “I’m very happy for the both of you.”

He then talked about the couple’s age gap in jest, saying, “The only thing to be worried about is that the best men and bridesmaids are talking about totally different topics!”

Thai netizens were quick to spread positivity

It was later revealed that the groom is currently the managing director of renowned Thai coffee brand, Khao Chong. This did raise a couple of eyebrows and the wedding dowry had been the talk of the town – some claimed that it was in the millions.

However, many Thai netizens were quick to shut down negative comments made about the couple’s wedding and age gap, and chose to spread positivity instead.
