The shooting that happened at Terminal 21 Korat shopping mall caused 29 casualties and 58 injuries, spreading anxiety and fear across the country. People shared that they were now scared to step out in public, especially when visiting big public spaces like shopping malls. 

After 4 days of closure since the mass shooting, Terminal 21 Korat is back on operation. The mall is also holding a merit ceremony joined by staff, store owners, and shoppers.

99% of the area is now ready for service except for Foodland Supermarket and Took Lae Dee food store, which will be opened soon.

Over 200 monks were invited to host a merit ceremony to pay their respects to the innocent lives lost, and many mall staff, store owners, and shoppers joined in the event in the morning.

The shopping mall confirms that they will pay more attention to the security system to promise that all shoppers and operators will be safe against such a tragic and mindless situation happening again.

Moreover, the mall is giving its tenants free rental costs for a month. For the loss of victims and their families, the mall will offer a compensation of ฿100,000 for families of the deceased and injured, as well as a ฿50,000 education scholarship for children of the victims. 

They are also in talks of redecorating the space and launching different promotions to lift the spirits of shoppers and regain their confidence.

Terminal 21 Korat also has a dedicated memorial space on its ground floor, which is open for shoppers and visitors to express their thoughts on the tragedy.

Other branches across Thailand including Terminal 21 Pattaya and Terminal 21 Asoke in Bangkok will also hold memorials.

Now, all we can do is to give each other encouragement to stay stronger.
