Taxi driver hopes to welcome tourists back to visit Phuket
On 18th April, a Facebook user posted a positive story about a taxi driver in Phuket who offered to conduct a city tour for ฿50 (~USD1.48), reported by The Thaiger.

The user shared a story about him walking around in Phuket before being approached by a taxi driver who offered him a deal – just ฿50 for a city tour.
At first, he feared that it would be a scam, but he later accepted the offer and went around the city with him.

The taxi driver stated that he had offered this price before the pandemic started because he wanted Phuket to gain more tourists, so he didn’t want to overcharge them.
After the post went viral, many Facebook users complimented him for helping to portray a positive impression of Phuket’s tourism industry.
