Sky Glamper Khao Kho has bubble dome glamping tents

For those of you who have watched Single’s Inferno – a Korean reality show on Netflix – you may be wondering if there’s any place like the glamping site featured in the show elsewhere in Asia.

If you’re planning a trip to Thailand soon, and want to cop the Single’s Inferno experience for yourself, consider Sky Glamper Khao Kho – a vast camping site with bubble domes & an outdoor cafe located in Phetchabun, which is a little over a 5-hour drive from Bangkok.

Let’s take a closer look at what the site offers, and why we’d bookmark it for future visits.

Admire mountain sunrise views in cozy bubble domes

Upon Khao Kho sits Sky Glamper, a camping resort in which a gentle fog lifts as the first rays of the sunrise hit the horizon.

Besides beautiful sunrise or sunset vantage points within its premises, you’ll spot bubble domes and tents surrounded by rolling slopes in the distance.

Here, the domes and tents are positioned on grassy plains for panoramic views amidst cool breezes – perfect for that breath of fresh mountain air when you lift the tent’s flaps every morning.

Apart from the scenic views, let’s take a closer look at these bubble domes to see what a glamping experience here entails.

Spacious glamping tents with sunrise views

When we think of glamping, we imagine tents that are arranged in a way that allow guests to enjoy uninterrupted mountain views, and perhaps the company of fellow campers.

Sky Glamper Khao Kho offers 4 types of domes and tents in total:

  • Grand Dome
  • Mini Dome View Point
  • Mini Dome
  • Family

Regardless of which type of tent you choose, the views of the faraway horizons won’t change.

This Mini Dome View Point tent has ample space despite its name; guests will feel comfortable while staying inside. When you look up, you peer through a star-gazing roof for late night constellation hunting.

The price is ฿2,800/night (~USD84) from Sunday – Friday and ฿3,100/night (~USD93) on Friday and Saturday. Do note that prices vary depending on the season of booking. For this option, it doesn’t come with a private toilet so do be prepared to use communal one.

For families who want an ‘all-in’ package, go for the Grand Dome for ฿3,200/night (~USD96) from Sunday to Friday and ฿3,500/night (~USD105) on Saturday. This spacious tent has an air-conditioner unit and a private toilet inside.

Another perk is their 5 ft. mattress for restful sleep – so much so that you probably won’t wanna get up in the mornings. Plus, you can ask for another mattress if you come with a partner or a friend.

After a long night’s sleep, simply gaze out of the geometric window to admire a beautiful sunrise that will surely energise you.

Of course, at this point, our tummies would be rumbling and you’re probably curious at what’s on the menu this early in the morning.

Continental breakfast in bed and an outdoor cafe with live music

Thankfully, the glamping resort offers a continental breakfast spread with rice, fried pork, pan-fried eggs and a small croissant – inclusive as part of the package already paid for by guests.

Take out those phones to snap pics for the ‘gram before you tuck in. Speaking of IG – you’re probably wondering where to get more money shots of this beautiful locale. Fret not, we’ll have you covered in the next section.

Staircase to nowhere and flower garden IG spots

After your meal, try to hunt down this white staircase to nowhere that’ll let you sit pretty atop a garden full of fuschia flowers.

With the lush fields and clear blue sky as your backdrop, all you’ll have to do is strike a pose to garner fire emojis from your friends under your IG pics.

Container cafe with live music and Mookata sets

When night falls, there’s a rustic cafe spot to order some evening drinks. *flashback to the cooking spot in Single’s Inferno*

Or, if you’re ravenous, get a full Mookata set to share with bae. FYI, a Mookata set is priced at ฿390 (~USD11.70).

We think that the romantic ambience thanks to the fairy lights and chill live music beats would be well worth it.

A refreshing getaway from the city

Sky Glamper Khao Kho is def a destination that you’d wanna pay close attention too if you’re in love with Single’s Inferno’s aesthetic.

Do note that driving from Bangkok here takes approximately 5 hours. The road at Khao Kho is also a little difficult to drive on because it’s a dirt road, so I suggest driving with caution.

Korea may not be on the cards just yet, but a road trip here – though not as short – would allow you to plan your city escape without having to travel too far for that Single’s Inferno aesthetic.
