Siam Paragon has daily festive shows till 31 December

Bangkok’s many glitzy malls have long been havens for city-dwellers looking for respite from the demands of the daily grind.

This festive season, however, you might be looking for some way to spend the evening besides wining, dining or shopping till you drop. A Christmas parade sure sounds nice, but that usually happens in theme parks, right?

Closer to home, the folks at Siam Paragon, seem to have many surprises in store for shoppers checking off their Christmas lists.

Here’s a preview of what to expect, from live shows involving stilt-walkers dressed to the nines, starring everyone from Santa to the Snow Queen, to free cotton candy and roller skates.

Giant candle stands and geometric animal ballerinas within the mall

Imagine strolling through the mall, and spotting a gold-gilded carriage. We’re not talking about a figurine, but a life-sized carriage drawn by white horses, complete with a princess.

If you’re strolling within the retail spaces on M Floor and Parc Paragon, do keep your eyes peeled for larger-than-life character mascots designed by Neu Jackkrit Anantakul, a renowned Thai graphic designer.

You can stop them for a quick photo-op, just to prove you’re best mates with a giant, walking candle stand.

These geometric gold rhino and fox ballerinas may give you Squid Game vibes at first glance, but we’re sure their graceful poses will make for a great IG story.

P.S. Don’t be too disappointed if you don’t see them in person. We hear that you can scan a QR code to have AR characters appear magically on your mobile phone too.

Daily festive shows to ring in the New Year & channel Christmas vibes
