A Thai orphaned teenager learned how to draw pictures online and now paints rural landscapes just to make money for his university tuition fees.

Earth is an 18-year-old student living with his grandparents in Kalasin province. He had just graduated from high school and has a strong passion and skills in art. 

His dream is to improve his skills by learning at Arsom Silp Institute of The Arts, but knows that his grandparents will have to sell all of their land and paddy fields in order to support him.

So, he decided to make money by selling his acrylic paintings that were inspired by nature and the rural areas near where he lives. The paintings start at ฿2,000 depending on the details of each piece.

Earth added that he practices regularly and studied techniques of how to draw by watching videos on YouTube. 

Now, he has sold over 10 pieces and continues to draw more to support his education journey.

Even though Earth might not have everything he wants in life, he hasn’t given up on his destiny and works hard for his dreams.
