The case of the mysterious legs

Imagine yourself driving in a car or taking a stroll on the streets of Bangkok late at night. And then seeing a pair of mysterious legs hanging out in the darkness, standing still and without budging. Oh hell nah!

Late yesterday morning, traffic radio Facebook page FM91 Trafficpro shared that people were reporting a pair of  mysterious legs wearing long dark pants and sneakers, which could be seen standing in a narrow gap between a bridge and a footpath around Ha Yaek Ladprao intersection.

While this had many people worried that it was a case of suicide, some people were just legit freaked out.

Turns out to be just pants attached to a pole

FM91 then informed the traffic official from Vibhavadi Police Station, who went to check the scene. After a sweep of the place, the police revealed it was just pants with sneakers that were deliberately put on a wooden stick and attached to the bridge’s structure.

They also found more clothes hidden inside like pants and towels, along with some other personal products like deodorant. But the owner was nowhere to be found.

Possibly a homeless person’s trick to keep people out

Lots of comments agreed that the items, including the creepy pants, might belong to a homeless person. Some even made a point about why the eerie pants were made to look like human standing up, saying that it was probably used by a homeless person to scare people out and prevent them from entering the place.

Translation: So this is the same tactic with scarecrow, except it is just a scare-human. LOL.

If this is actually the case, we’re not sure it’s working – at least, not anymore. Sorry buddy, but you could’ve given us a heart attack with your smart tactic!
