Walk around Bangkok and you’ll find tons of roti carts, selling popular snacks like choco-banana roti that comes drizzled with condensed milk and sugar. But these are common, and if you’re more of a savoury kinda person, then On-Zon Roti is the place to be.

This roti shop in Permsub Night Market offers lots of items, with the must-try being their cheesy pizza bread that costs just ฿50 (~USD1.60).

Cheap pizza bread and roti snacks

One of the best things is watching the cooks flip the roti around

The roti here is larger than quite a number of street-side stalls we’ve been to, which got us excited right off the bar. The owners were also meticulously cleaning their cooking area and changing the oil regularly, so you don’t have much to worry about in terms of cleanliness.

While their bestsellers remain the all-time favourites of Choco Banana (฿45) and Nutella Banana (฿50), we’d recommend going for their savoury snacks.

Their Roti Pizza (฿50) came packed with a generous portion of sausage, ham, pizza sauce, and cheese. It was then garnished with oregano, tomato sauce, and cheese sauce.

The flavours were just right – the tomato sauce gave this the classic pizza taste, and we loved how each bite came with a cheese pull from all that gooey goodness inside.

Next, we tried the Roti Cheese Talak (฿45), which looks like a chubby croissant. Once you cut it into half, you’ll be greeted with a delicious mix of cheese and condensed milk, giving it a sweet and salty taste.

Postpone your exercise day for this snack

The owners also recommended us to try their Duo Roti (฿45), which puts a spin on the typical sausage bun. We loved that the toasted roti dough gave it a crisp yet chewy texture. It also wasn’t “soggy” from the oil, and retained a good bite.

There are many other choices to choose from too, like Egg, Ham, And Cheese Roti (฿50) or the dessert style like Shredded Egg Yolk Roti (฿45).  You can also pick between crispy and fluffy (both ฿35) roti options too, depending on your bread preference.
