Have you ever wondered about what outer space is really like? You might think about its atmosphere, weather, or its looks – but what about its smell?
If you can’t imagine what the universe smells like, NASA is letting you experience it in their new product, the Eau de Space fragrance.
Part of the proceeds will go to charity

NASA (The National Aeronautics and Space Administration) has collaborated with perfume specialists to craft a new fragrance that mimics the smell of the universe.
They did this by first gathering information from different astronauts about the smell of space, and they got information that the universe smells like a combination of seared steak, gunpowder, with raspberry and rum.

The space fragrance has actually been in development for many years in order to train astronauts to make them familiar with the scent of space before the real deal.
The Eau de Space is available online here, and part of the proceeds will go to a charity supporting the K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) program. This focuses on the area of science and technology in order to build a new generation of space explorers.
