Two months ago on 3rd September 2019, a near-fatal accident involving a high-voltage cable occurred at Sikhio Fresh Market in Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima province.

At the time, Mrs. Malinee Weerasuchart had been walking with her son along the street when a faulty high-voltage cable above her exploded and dropped onto the ground, causing severe burns on her legs.

Thankfully, motortaxi driver (also known as P’Win in Thailand) Mr. Suphot rushed to help her immediately. She was then sent to the hospital for treatment, which racked up to over a billion Thai baht.

Mrs. Malinee is on the road to recovery

Fortunately for Mrs. Malinee, the Provincial Electricity Authority was able to provide financial support for her medical treatments. She’s been recovering, as reported by Sanook after journalists visited her to check-in on her progress.

Mrs. Malinee and her family are extremely grateful for Mr. Suphot’s bravery, and have since thanked him with a goodie basket as well as some money.

It’s no easy feat saving a person’s life. Bad things can happen anywhere to anyone, so always be alert – you never know when you’ll need to come to someone’s rescue.
