McDonald’s Australia has decided to sell milk and bread alongside its usual hearty meals of Big Mac and chicken nuggets in light of COVID-19.

The fast-food giant aims to help folks who have difficulty getting these basic groceries at supermarkets as a wave of panic buying took over the country – and in fact, the world.

“Customers will also be able to pick up two or three-litre bottles of full cream or skim milk, as well as packs of English muffins and gourmet bread rolls,” said McDonald’s.

They also told 7NEWS.com.au that it was part of their commitment to support local communities during a difficult time like this.

Milk and bread will be sold at the restaurant’s drive-thrus and takeaway service across the country. Additionally, customers can also order items via the McDonald’s application and other food delivery services.

This means people in Down Under can shop for their groceries anytime if they live nearby McDonald’s outlets that open 24/7.

Like all restaurants in Thailand, McDonald’s Australia has stopped customers from eating at the restaurants and only provided drive-thru and takeaway services.

Good job, Macca’s. What a great idea to help people during such a tough time – we’re lovin’ it.
