Jodd Fairs, Bangkok: Train Night Market With A Skate Park, Mala Skewers & Spicy Pork ‘Mountains’

Jodd Fairs is Bangkok’s new train night market

As the Covid-19 situation stabilises in Thailand, many businesses are announcing their comeback.

The good news is that the popular Ratchada Train Night Market (also then called the Srinagarindra Train Night Market) has officially returned under a brand new name, Jodd Fairs, and has relocated from Ratchada to Rama 9 which is more convenient for all of us to pay a visit.

Here’s a quick preview of what to expect at Jodd Fairs, the newly opened train night market in Bangkok.

Jodd Fairs is the new version of Ratchada Train Night Market

On 29th November 2021, Ratchada Train Night Market officially announced its return with the new name “Jodd Fairs” on its Facebook page.

This new market has been relocated from Ratchada to Rama 9, but still retains its original vibe of nightlife shopping and street food hawkers that we’re all familiar with.

The market also features a new skating landmark where skaters can show off their urban surfing skills.

Tons of street food such as Mala skewers, Leng Sapp, and grilled beef

Jodd Fair has more than 600 food vendors with restaurants, street food stands, and actual food tents.

Take a night stroll along the many stalls and take your pick from dishes such as Mala BBQ skewers and grilled beef steaks freshly made to order.

Visitors shouldn’t miss out on the Leng Saap, or Spicy Pork ‘Mountain’, served with a bowl of hot rice at Mae Klong Noodle & Leng Saap.

In addition to the street food stalls with BBQ pork and chicken skewers or char-grilled steaks, there are also trailer cafes and other outdoor hawker stalls where visitors can hang out with friends and bask in the nightlife.

Basic blouses, printed T-shirts and streetwear

You’ve probably missed strolling past markets’ iconic white tents housing vendors selling everything from cow-print bikinis to basic blouses.

Jodd Fairs will offer visitors a similar experience to OG train markets as you can browse though racks of printed T-shirts with affordable prices.

There are several vintage stores selling old-school items such as denim, jackets, and tartan shirts.

A wide array of street style clothes can also be found at the market, ranging from crop tops to trendy fashionable dresses.

Only a 5-minute walk from Rama 9 MRT station

Thankfully, the new train night bazaar is very convenient to visit, as it’s just a 5-minute walk away from Rama 9 MRT station.
