Hawkers in Thailand are well-loved not only for their mouth-watering goodies, but also for their reputation as hardworking individuals. They’re seen hustling day in and day out in order to sustain a livelihood, as well as to provide for their families.
This hawker brought his child along on his selling route, where he was captured exemplifying the definition of “determination”.

Hawker cares for disabled son while selling shaved ice
On 8th August 2021, an image of a hawker around Bangkok’s Bhumibol Bridge was shared on Facebook. The picture shows a man wiping the face of his wheelchair-bound child, who has a designated space on his shopping cart, that he uses to sell shaved ice at ฿10 (~USD0.30)/cup.
