Granny Pim’s hair salon in Thailand

Finding a good hairdresser is like making a new friend – one that pampers you, all with good conversations in the process.

Facebook user Watanya Sarnsoi recently shared a post about 82-year-old Pimphon “Pim” Kumthong, a granny who opened a hair salon in Nonthaburi. Turns out, she didn’t do it to earn money, but to make new friends she can chit-chat with instead of just staying at home.

Granny Pim is a retired teacher

Translation: This granny is an 82-year-old hairdresser. I paid only ฿40 for a wash and dry, and she even did straightening and braiding for free. Why is she doing this? Just to have a friend to talk to.

Watanya also mentioned that Granny Pim starts working from 8am all the way till 6pm, so customers that are thinking of dropping by don’t have to be in a hurry.
