Active Covid-19 cases in Thailand continue to rise

Spokesman of the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), Dr Taweesilp Visanuyothin warns that Thailand’s daily Covid-19 cases could skyrocket to 18,000 on 14th January 2021 in a recent press conference

On 24th December 2020, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha decided against implementing a nation-wide lockdown and asked Thais for continued cooperation in combating the novel coronavirus. The spokesman echoed that collective action was key to preventing a nation-wide lockdown.
