If the only plan you have for this weekend is to lay in bed and binge-watching Netflix like always, perhaps visiting some free art exhibitions in town might spice up your plans and give you something fun to do.

River City Bangkok has many free art exhibitions

Even if you’re not a big fan of art galleries and shows, these interesting exhibits are worth visiting.

River City Bangkok is a shopping centre located near Chao Phraya River known for showcasing beautiful art exhibits ever so often. Here’s what’s in store for visitors till the end of this month and July.

Tang Contemporary Art Bangkok: Chen Yufan Solo Exhibition

Chen Yufan, a Chinese artist who is known for his integrated art, is now exhibiting his contemporary artworks featuring a combination of mixed media and installation art.

The exhibition is where you can explore all of his masterpieces, such as Imprecise Landscape – a pink-toned acrylic artwork on canvas that features longan branches and rosewood.

The showcase will be on till 30th June 2020.

Here and Now

Here and Now is an art event combining various mediums of art within one exhibition.

You can expect to enjoy a selection of photos, paintings, drawings, and sculptures from over 18 Thai and foreign artists.

Vanishing Bangkok: The Changing Face of the City

Bangkok’s Beauty in Black & White is the theme of this photo exhibition. All photos are taken by Ben Davies, a British photographer, during his 20 years living in Thailand.

Portraying the city vibes with photos taken by his Linhof film camera, this art exhibition reminds us of how beautiful Bangkok is and how its classic beauty has been fading with time.
