Chinese Residents Move Out Of Forest Apartment Due To Mosquitoes

The city of Chengdu is considered to be one of the most polluted cities in China, which has led the city to try to increase green spaces as much as possible to help better the urban atmosphere.

Besides the stunning green corridor, this vertical forest apartment built in 2018 was another green project that many people were dreaming of, but it has now turned into quite the nightmare for residents.

This green apartment is located in the city of Chengdu in China. From pictures, it looks beautiful and a perfect location for all nature lovers to live in.

The project was established in 2018 with the aim to offer residents with a “vertical forest”. It was a dream for many people to live surrounded by nature, so over 826 units were fully booked immediately after it launched in April 2020.

However, there were only 10 families that actually moved into the apartments, leaving tons of rooms abandoned.

The project developer left rooms without tenants unoccupied, leaving the plants a fertile breeding ground for all sorts of insects, especially mosquitoes.

The green paradise soon turned into an overgrown hell, causing some residents that were there to move away.

However, there are still some tenants who continue living here after a promise was made by the project developer to increase efforts in taking care of the building and providing more maintenance services throughout the year.
