Prevent possible transmissions

Due to high COVID-19 infection rates overseas, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) will extend its ongoing ban on inbound flights, which was scheduled to end on 30th April 2020, for another 15 days.
The ban began on 4th April to curb transmissions from overseas. It has since been extended 3 times.
CAAT chief Chula Sukmanop said authorities need to be on alert as infection rates overseas remain high.Â
Thailand’s daily reports of COVID-19 new cases have been staying low for the past week.
Repatriation flights still take place

Despite the continuation of the ban, repatriation flights to bring Thais home will still take place from April 26 to 30th.Â
During the 5-day period, a total of 1,078 Thai nationals have registered to fly home from 6 countries including India, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Japan, and the Netherlands.
Upon their arrival, all returnees will undergo strict health checks and get sent off to state quarantine areas to do 14-day self-isolation.
Let’s hope the situation gets better soon so we can travel freely again.Â
