It can be dangerous when you’re drunk and passed out in public as this opens doors for thieves to rob all your belongings. But this tourist didn’t have to worry about that because he had the police watching over him – literally.

In the early morning of 23rd August 2019, a tourist was found lying down beside a road in Pattaya. Locals who were in the area quickly alerted the Pattaya Police Provincial Division in fear that the man would be harmed or robbed.

When the police arrived, they found a drunk Indian man passed out on the footpath. His body reeked of alcohol. The man apparently had too much to drink the night before.

Police offered him water and a ride home

The police proceeded to wake the man up to check if he was injured. To everyone’s relief, he seemed fine aside from being  a little bit drowsy and hungover. The police then gave him a cold bottle of water to wash his face.

After letting him freshen up, the police gave the man a ride to his hotel, back to safety.

The police did  a good job on their part and deserve recognition, but we must also give a big thanks to the good citizens who reported the incident when they saw the man alone by the road. It shows that people still care about each other.
