Stray dog drags hindlegs
Crossing the road in Thailand is not an easy task. Pedestrians have to contend with motorists who always seem to be in a hurry to get somewhere, as well as the ever-broken crossing lights. In our experience, it can take ages to overcome this almost-impossible task.
However, this stray dog seems to have unlocked the secret. In order to cross the road, the pup drags its hindlegs along the street, evoking pity from drivers who ultimately slow down for it.
Passersby have also stopped to help the dog cross the street. Let’s see how this dog’s Oscar-worthy performance was received by netizens.

Stray dog fools passersby into helping it cross the road
The “handicapped” dog was seen dragging its hindlegs while crossing the street, before walking on all-fours upon reaching the other side of the road. The video posted on 21st June 2021 by อวยไส้แตกแหกไส้ฉีก also shows the dog pausing in the middle of the street, waiting for someone to help it get to the other side.
Towards the end of the clip, a taxi uncle pulled over and walked towards the “helpless” stray. However, when he noticed that the dog was able to walk on all fours, the motorist went back to his vehicle.
When a dog is sad, embarrassed, or a little scared, its ears flop down. This dog seems to have mastered the “poor me” act, complete with folded ears.
Dog’s intelligence results in comments from Netizens
This pupper’s act not only managed to get it safely across the road, but also helped it receive assistance from sympathetic motorists.
Of course, netizens rushed to commend the dog’s intelligence.
Translation: You’re a cunning dog. You deserve the title of “intelligent looking dog”. Lol.
Translation: Where’s the cane? Lol
Translation: When I first started watching the video, I pitied the little dog. I thought something had happened to it.
However, there are some who attribute the pup’s actions to its instincts, rather than its superb intelligence.
Translation: The Puppy’s only itchy, lol.
Translation: It was only scratching, lol.
Dogs can do more than play fetch
Dogs are truly intelligent companions and are able to do many things beyond playing fetch. This pupperino was able to display both its intellect and social intelligence by tricking passersby into helping it cross the road.
TBH, we would probably fall for it.
Many find dogs adorable and are willing to help them. The compassionate motorists who pulled over for this stray were only “fooled” because of their kind hearted nature. So, it seems like everyone wins in this situation.
We hope that everyone continues on safely.
