Mr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, the spokesperson of the CCSA, announced that the ‘Crimson Zone’ consists of Thailand’s 5 provinces on the highest alert for Covid-19. The provinces are Samut Sakorn, Rayong, Chonburi, Chantaburi, and Trat, according to Channel 7.

The CCSA put on the highest alert on these five provinces due to a surging number of Covid-19 cases. The government also set up roadblocks around all five high-risks provinces to strictly control and prevent the spread of Covid-19. Although roadblocks are set-up, it is not a complete lockdown. Also, the government still allows limited people to travel into the crimson red zone.

Documents are required to travel to the crimson red zone

There are regulations for the person who needs to travel to the provinces in the crimson red area. According to the CCSA, you’ll need a proper authorization paper from your local district office. You’ll also need to download the Mor-Chana application, a Covid-19 tracking application developed by the Ministry of Public Health and the government.
