Colonel Krissana Pattanacharoen of the Thai police said that the shooting was motivated by a personal issue. Investigations continue.

February sees Bangkok’s 2nd shooting, happening days after a gunman fired shots near Chulalongkorn University. Officials have reported that a shooting occurred this afternoon, 18th February 2020, at Century The Movie Plaza near Victory Monument in Bangkok.

Rescuers on the scene have stated that a female worker from a beauty clinic at the mall was killed, and another person sustained injuries after a shooter opened fire in the mall, Khaosod English reports.

Police are still investigating the scene and there is yet to be confirmation on the shooter’s current status and identity.

This marks the 4th shooting in Thailand since January, after the devastating Lopburi robbery and Terminal 21 Korat massacre.
