In April, the actress posted a picture of food coupons with a sweet message that read:

“Let me buy you 1 meal so we’ll have more energy to carry on… We hope you have a good day.”

She also explained that the coupons were outside of her brother’s coffee shop, delivery persons and anyone who wants some food can take one and trade it in for 1 meal.

If you find her familiar, that’s probably because you might have seen her in Nang Nak (1999), which is widely considered to be one of the best horror films from Thailand.

At first, the actress started off on a small scale at her brother’s coffee shop, where all delivery men who picked up their food would also get 1 box of rice and 1 bottled water.

After she made it official, however, fans and fellow celebrities chimed in and helped donate money and ingredients for her to cook with.

Many restaurants around Bangkok were inspired by the actress and also took part in this campaign, and started giving out free food daily.

Right now, some restaurants outside of Bangkok have begun to do the same.

‘I respect their privacy’

After some time into the campaign, a number of people questioned her doing as she rarely shared the receivers’ picture online. In response, she decided to post pictures of folks who got the food, but not without censoring their identities.

“At our cafe, we don’t take photos at all because we treated them like customers and respected their privacy. Other participating restaurants  will only send some pictures to me to ensure that they’ve been doing their part”
