Bird steals cash from gas station clerk
Very few burglars are able to flee the scene without leaving any evidence that links them to their thievery.
While most of them often end up being arrested by the police, a thief with a pair of wings to fly away would be difficult to catch.
Here’s the story of a bird who stole cash from a gas station clerk and flew away.

Little bird caught on camera stealing cash from gas station’s clerks
On 13th December 2021, Thai TikToker, @lionnnnnnoi, posted a hilarious video clip showing a bird stealing cash from a gas station clerk.
The culprit of the crime – a little bird – was caught on camera holding cash in its mouth while flying around the gas station.

This happened shortly after the clerk received money from a customer. The animal then swooped in, grabbed the money, and flew away.

The workers helped each other to chase the bird who seemed to be strategising his escape plan.

The little bird then decided to drop the money on the ground – convincing the scrambling staff to believe that he yielded and decided to return the stolen cash.
However, that was just a trick by the animal.
The bird picks up the money and flies away again
As the staff member was about to grab the money, the animal picked the cash back up and started to fly around the premises just like he had done earlier.

One worker even kicked as punishment for letting the culprit flee.

Eventually, the bird relinquished his grip on the cash and threw it on the ground and flying away for real.

After the clip went viral on TikTok – with more than 14K likes – many netizens shared their thoughts on the video.

One netizen commented that the bird resorted to thievery because of difficult economic times.

One TikToker thought that the bird may have been worried about the gas station workers getting tired, so he wanted to be helpful by making a 7-Eleven run.
Prepare for the return of the bird
Though we don’t know why the bird stole from the clerk, or why they decided to give the money back, we think he might’ve just gotten a little hungry. That being said, he probably was looking for some cash to buy a meal nearby.
In the future, we’d recommend the gas station workers prepare a plate of food for the flying thief so that no one will get robbed again.
