I’ll come right out and say it: no one does advertisements better than the Thais.
Whether it’s making our bellies hurt from laughing so hard or leaving us unable to control our tears, here are the best heartwarming Thai advertisements that are mini movies of their own.
Warning: Tears ahead.
1. Unsung Hero
Advertiser: Thai Life Insurance
We’ll start ourselves off easy. This ad isn’t heavy-hearted or overly emotional, but manages to hit the feels just the same. It teaches us a lesson about being humble and helping others without the intentions of receiving the same help in return.
Also, it’s a gold mine for comments like these:
2. Life is Beautiful
Advertiser: I.C.C International
This short film tells the story of a father’s sacrifice, and the lengths parents go just to give a good life for their children, no matter their circumstances.
3. Giving
Advertiser: TrueMoveH
Buckle up, buckaroos. The feels-train has arrived.
The dialogue in this ad is at a minimal, with poignant storytelling being told through visuals and heartfelt acting.
4. My Brother
Advertiser: Brother Thailand
Heart-wrenching family backstory? Check.
Emotional soundtrack? Check.
Being a blubbering mess? CHECK.
5. The Waiter’s Mom
Advertiser: BarBQ Plaza
This ad stands out because of how it’s based on real people and their reactions. BarBQ Plaza interviewed its very own employees and put together this touching montage dedicated to them and their mothers.
6. Every Mouthful is Meaningful
Advertiser: CP Brand
This one would hit home for a lot of us, Brb, going to hug my mom right after this. Thanks CP. 😭
7. Garbage Man
Advertiser: Thai Life Insurance
Damn Thai Life Insurance, back at it again with another fantastic short film.
This is one of my favourite Thai ads ever, and I’m sure a lot of you would feel the same. The kiddos in this film do a great job in pulling our heartstrings, and it tells the reality of many families who are struggling in this day and age.
Plus, it’s empowering in its own right, and is really refreshing to see.
8. Silence of Love
Advertiser: Thai Life Insurance
This Thai classic is no stranger to “Try Not To Cry” challenges on YouTube, and for a very good reason. This is one of the few ads that’s a struggle to get through just because of how hard-hitting it is compared to some of the more lighthearted ads out there.
9. Teacher

Advertiser: 7-Eleven Thailand
Welp. Besides being our favourite convenience store with all sorts of goodies, they’ve got our backs with emotional advertisements too.
This one tells the story of a professor who has dedicated his life to teaching, and how one special student recalls his time with his teacher at the end of the day.
10. My Super Mom
Advertiser: Nestle Thailand
Moms might nag, and moms might chide, but moms will always love us till the end of time.
11. Teacher & Mother
Advertiser: C.P. Group
Watching our parents get older can be one of the most difficult things to come face to face with, and this story about a man and his mother who suffers from Alzheimer’s really puts things like filial piety into perspective.
12. Blind Truth
Advertiser: Vizer
Get ready for a twist that’ll have you sobbing by the end of this video, and for an unexpected product no less.
