28 Airports In Thailand Reopen After Lockdown Eased

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) confirmed the reopening of 28 airports around Thailand, which will allow passengers to fly domestically.

Some domestic airlines have already started flying since 1st May 2020. 

10 Airports that are opened for domestic and international flights:

  • Suvarnabhumi
  • Krabi
  • Chiang Mai
  • Chiang Rai
  • Don Mueang
  • Samui
  • Surat Thani
  • Hat Yai
  • Hua Hin
  • U-Tapao

18 Airports that are opened for domestic flights only:

  • Nan
  • Phitsanulok
  • Phrae
  • Mae Sot
  • Mae Hong Son
  • Lampang
  • Khon Kaen
  • Nakhon Phanom
  • Buri Ram
  • Roi Et
  • Loei
  • Sakon Nakhon
  • Udon Thani
  • Ubon Ratchathani
  • Chumphon
  • Trang
  • Ranong
  • Nakhon Si Thammarat

Flights only available from 7AM – 7PM

In accordance with the national curfew, all operating flights will only take place between 7am to 7pm.

Passengers are required to strictly follow government guidelines, which includes wearing masks at all times and keeping a safe distance to prevent possible transmissions.

Despite the reopening, incoming flights from overseas are still banned until 31st May, with the exception of state or military aircraft, flights seeking emergency landings without disembarkation, humanitarian aid flights, repatriation flights, and cargo flights.
