A private cafe deep inside Keppel Bay, this place overlooks a spectucular view of the ships docked here and serves up impressive food.

Although it was a weekend night, the place was not very crowded. Anyway my host had thoughtfully made a reservation for us to dine indoor. The restaurant was quite big with both indoor and outdoor dining area. Bottles of water, plates and cutlery were thoughtfully placed on the table. Just the right thing to have after a hot day outside. At the display counter, lay rows of delicious looking cakes and tarts. It made me wanted to head straight to desserts for dinner and forget about the mains. Been a bakery café, it also sold freshly made breads too, which were displayed on the shelves.
Penne Alla Carbonara ($22++)
with tender chicken chunks, crispy bacon, button mushrooms, flat-leaf parsley topped with an egg yolk
The serving looked quite small in the bowl, about less than half. It tasted simple and great, as it did not taste jelat even after eating for sometimes. No wonder a lot of people ordered this when they came here to eat.
Tuna Niçoise 10-Inch Stone-Baked Pizza ($18++)
with tuna, peppers, olives, capers, egg, tomato & mozzarella cheese
The pizza arrived after 20 minutes waiting time. Looked great on a wooden board, but taste was otherwise. The worst part was the tomato paste which reminded me of the canned version commonly found in the supermarket with its very tart and dry taste.
Sticky Date Pudding ($12++)
with homemade butterscotch, walnuts & vanilla bean ice cream
I had read up in a blog that this dish was very nice. It seemed the co-owner of Prive used to operate a restaurant called Brown Sugar which served great sticky date pudding. The sticky date pudding was served piping hot. It tasted sweet, soft and moist with bits of dates. Seldom could I really taste date in a sticky date pudding. A great well done dessert.
Overall it was a great meal, except for the pizza. We had a bit of problems of getting the attention of the staffs when it was time to bill, even when there was not much customers about and we were sitting right in front of the cashier. Other than that, plates were cleared smoothly and ice water was refilled often.
Lovely view, lovely food, ahh so good!
I came here for their weekend brunch so ecstatic to try out their brunch menu which people have been constantly ravingg about. I had to get their chocolate pancakes which were sooo decadent and further topped with more sinful chocolate chips. Their croissant was also so good which were flaky and buttery, the size taking up a whole serving plate. So worth it for the price in my opinion.
The full breakfast was just normal, nothing stellar in my honest opinion. The view's great, so remember to grab a seat facing the sea for a perfect weekend brunch with your loved ones!
