I came here today with the intent of enjoying good Vietnamese cuisine. The cafe wasn't at all crowded when I arrived there at around 6.40pm. Perhaps it's because it's a weekday.
I ordered the tom yam hot pot, pork skewers, broccoli with scallop while my dad ordered some curry rice thing. The waiting time was alright I guess, around 15-20 minutes. The Tom Yam soup was quite nice, not too spicy. There were a lot of lemongrass in it though. Also, the pot was quite tall, with a fire burning below. I think I was too near it, and this resulted in the ends of some of my hair getting burnt. Well, that was a slightly scary experience. The pork skewers were a little dry, and the portion of the broccoli with scallops was quite small for the price of $9.80 for the plate.
Overall, I think the price is quite reasonable, but the portions may be quite small to the average Singaporean. As I had a 50% off voucher, it didn't sting so bad. Perhaps it'll be better to come here for snacks rather than a full meal.
