Frizzy hair has been a constant source of frustration since my post-pubescent life, and I’m always on the lookout for remedies, be they short-term or long-term. Trying out every new and promising product in the hopes of striking gold can get increasingly tedious, and I was almost ready to give up and live with my lot in life. I stumbled across The Body Shop’s Polynesian Monoï Radiance Oil by chance, and it’s a lifesaver.
You’re missing the middle paragraph that holds the most important information. What does the radiance oil contain? Does it have an overpowering/subtle scent? How long will it last you?
A tiny drop goes a long way, smoothening those straw ends, leaving your hair shiny with a mild nutty scent. It’s not the most perfect solution out there, but it does the trick and it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket.
As a personal care product hoarder, I have tried almost every brand of shampoo and skin care product existing in the market. Of all the half-filled product bottles that have been sitting on my shelf for ages, I can confidently say that almost none of them are ones that I purchased from The Body Shop.
The most effective products that I have tested from The Body Shop are their hair and face products. As someone with sensitive acne-prone skin, any product I used to reduce my acne was too harsh. The Seaweed Deep Cleansing Gel Wash ($20.90) is the most effective for acne-prone oily/combination skin and it is not too harsh on sensitive skin either.
Another daily struggle was managing my curly hair without getting it damaged by in-store shampoo brands like Sunsilk, Pantene, Dove etc. The Rainforest Shine Shampoo ($16.90) by The Body Shop made it to my very selective shampoo love list. It kept my locks hydrated and soft while giving it a healthy natural glow at the same time. The Body Shop has a very wide range of products; why not give it a try and see if it works for you?
The Body Shop is the best place to hunt for last minute gifts. Reason being, most of their gift sets are already packed neatly in a pretty box. I always receive at least two Body Shop gifts as birthday presents. I am not complaining though, but Body Shop could create different scents every few months to make the gift sets more unique.
For example, for the past two years, Body Shop sold the Gingerbread scent and Cranberry scent during Christmas season. The packaging never really changed from year to year. I personally feel like Body Shop did not even try to make a new scent this year.
I have grown a bit sick of the normal scents at Body Shop. Plus, the customer service is a bit annoying as they observe your every move right in front of you! Yikes!
The Body Shop is known for their concepts for gifts, especially when you have no idea on what presents to give during birthdays and festive seasons. Their gift ideas are usually packaged or wrapped up nicely which also helps when you are buying them last minute.
The store carries a variety of products which includes shower gel, lotions, scrubs and even makeup. Though they are priced on the higher end of the scale, the products do live up to it. I give their quality two thumbs up. However, it is normally the range of smells that entice customers. Choosing from fruity to flowery to earthy smells will send anyone into a whirlwind of contentment.
Personally, I like the products sold during the festive seasons, particularly Christmas. I recently bought a hand cream that smells like gingerbread man. It doesn’t hurt smelling yummy sometimes!
I visit The Body Shop whenever I have to get a gift for someone but am not quite sure what to get. I like the packages and promotions that are given out often. They usually comprise of everything a person would need for that quick beauty indulgence- Scrubs, lotions, body mists etc.
Each skin care product has a range of different scents to suit every individual's taste though they're more biased towards the fruity. Personally, I love their body butters the best. The scents are quite soothing and the product hydrating. I used it during winter the other time and it proved its worth to leave my skin moisturized! The product might leave a bit of grease when too much is applied, so always apply in moderation.
The Body Shop also won many awards for Corporate Social Responsibility, having taken initiatives with combating HIV, animal testings, human rights and maintaining the planet's ecosystem. It truly lives by its motto of 'Beauty with Heart'!
Well, The Body Shop(TBS) could easily claim the most famous, resposible and longstanding beauty shop in Singapore. Living its founder's, Anna Roddick, legacy it prides itself for social and animal protection activism while using all-natural ingredients for bath, facial and skin products.
Frankly, I love the smell of TBS shops. And being a guy, I thus think it's really something to be said of the shop's effectiveness in creating an inviting atmosphere. Furthermore, its products are genuinely effective against conditions you would want to treat against- for eg. acne. One example is their tea tree range of products. Unlike usual non-TBS facial treatments, they don't contain gimmicks like parabens, perfumes or unwanted ingredients, thereby giving even the best of brands a good run for their money.
Also, I like its membership features as they are rather generous in its rewards. I now have almost a whole shelf of TBS 'elves' waiting to be mobilised to treat whatever scars i have while not forgetting the pleasant-smelling body washes that rejuvenate. Finally, I love their service as they combine knowledge with a warm smile every time a question is asked.
The Body Shop could very well be your best skincare brand, notwithstanding its slightly higher price at times.
Whenever I walk past a Body Shop store, the fragrant aroma never fails to reel me into the store to shop, or at least have a look around the store.
While the products in The Body Shop can be a little pricey, I think it's worth a buy because the fragrances are amazing! My favourite product from the store is the satsuma shower gel as it smells fruity, fresh and sweet at the same time. The fragrance also tends to linger around for a longer time as compared to other shower gels after I'm done with my shower.
I also enjoy buying gifts for my aunts/female friends/mom/non-male counterparts from The Body Shop especially around Christmas time because the gifts are always boxed up very beautifully and make excellent presents. The Body Shop is an excellent store!
Whenever I'm in doubt about gifting whether it is for birthday presents or for festive occasions like Christmas, I always go to the body shop.
The body shop always grants you with good presents because all females want to look good and smell good. The products at The Body Shop definitely granted them that. I got my mom the Mango Body Butter for her birthday and she really liked it.
I honestly think that most of their products are a little bit on the pricier side so make sure you check for discounts with the counter!
Their distinctive fragrance never fails to attract me into their stores.
I have been using their products for years and I can say I am quite a brand loyal customer. This is because their products are able to keep my skin moisturized and some even have uplifting results. What matters most is to me is that it does not bring rashes to my very sensitive skin.
Adding on, the service is great. Just by saying 'Excuse Me', someone will appear next to you in a blink of an eye, ready to provide you with more information about the product or to clear the doubts that you may carry.
Its handcream is something that I cannot live without. It makes my skin feel so much smoother and healthier. Moreover, it comes in a variety of scent that you can choose from. I doubt I will purchase any facial products from other stores in the next couple of years. See how brand loyal I am!
First thing I notice about The Body Shop is it's distinctive smell wafting from it. That is probably what draws me in, not so much the products.
I have been using the Body Shop products pretty much my whole life as my mum is pretty obsessed. I didn't really mind the quality much back when I was little but now, comparing it to other brands, I find that it just falls flat.
Packaging of products is very pretty, the scent is amazing but not overpowering, the customer service is friendly and helpful, but the main thing that matters about a product, in my opinion, is its quality and their soaps, body butters, makeup don't really help my skin any better than other products and brands.
The only product I like from them are their body scrubs. They really exfoliate all those annoying bumps on your skin without being too abrasive or rough. Other than that, their other products are just... blah.
Two thumbs up for being eco-friendly though!
