What a SCAM company!!

I've ordered 2 items from deal.com.sg about 5 weeks ago, and I went to collect from their redemption office at North Bridge Road during mid of April 2013. I've been told by a Malay skinny lady at the front desk, their orders was delay and she said they will mail to me by registered mail once they have stocks.

I've been waiting for the items till TODAY, no news, no calls from them, no any updates at all, that's why I called to CS and spoken to them regarding this, the guy said will contact me back.
After a few days, no news again! And I tried to called 2nd time, another Malay lady called Mxxa and she said she will called me back by today, end up NO NEWS AGAIN,!!

I will report this case to CAS Singapore soon. otherwise, I believe a lot of ppl will become the victims like me..

I've been a regular shopper at Deal.com for close to 2 years now. They never fail to interest me with their deals, and I must admit that through purchasing their vouchers, I've found some great places to shop and dine in our congested city. The dining deals alone are unbeatable when compared to other deal-offering websites. I've been to many hotel buffets via Deal.com, experiences I would have paid double the price for if I didn't get the vouchers from Deal.com. I've bought many fabulous gifts for my friends and family with the great range of products they keep refreshing themselves with. Examples include the Galaxy Lamp, Floor Droid, Power Bank, etc. Moreover, the easy-to-use payment portal is hassle-free and convenient as it remembers your details. By far, the best deal I've bought so far from them was a Floor Droid for $29, when the retailing price was $99. Pretty cool!

I rarely use websites that deal with online shopping platform. The reason being, I've always been skeptic in using them as I wasn't sure whether the information is accurate or not. It was only a few months back that my friend introduced me to Deal.com.sg Eventually I went to check them out since it's associated with Yahoo! So I figured this website should be legit.

Turns out I was right after all. It's a breeze to online shop at the website. Oh I should let you guys know this first. I was planning to buy a ukulele. After watching countless of videos of Jung Sungha(or Seongha Jeong) playing his ukulele on youtube, I decided to buy one for myself. However, this plan of mine was on hold for a few months as many of them are way too expensive for me.

It wasn't until I found out that Deal.com.sg is selling them at only S$28.80! It even comes with a soft case and pick. Initially, I actually thought that my eyes were playing a trick on me but nope. Which means that I managed to save S$60-$70+.

Tip: Always check out the bestsellers and travel categories! They have the best deals.

A surprisingly easy deal

Following the Groupon scandal some time back, I had always been rather skeptical of such online websites and what they had to offer.

My first experience with Deal.com earlier this year, however, did somewhat change my views.

After much deliberation and reading the terms and conditions over and over, I finally decided to take a gamble to order a deal for yusheng (a Chinese New Year dish) from a top restaurant at 66% off.

The deal went through surprisingly smoothly - and of course, being the sceptic I was, I was half-worried. Little did I expect that not only were there no strings attached in the deal, I had no trouble claiming my order from the related restaurant and was given exactly what the deal had promised - yusheng, discount and all.

Pleased with my first deal, I'm now a pretty regular viewer of the Deal.com website, and though I've yet to make further orders, I must say I'm impressed by the site's simple and organised layout and easy navigation processes.

Whether I will consistently get the same positive experience for other deals, only time will tell. But for now, it's a site that's earned my trust.

I bought a deal for a 2 day 1 night stay at Pulau Ubin's Celestial Resort from Deals.com.sg and I was rather impressed.

There were no hidden charges whatsoever and all I had to do was email Celestial Resort a copy of the coupon as well as my particulars and I was set! And among all the online coupon stores, I'd say that Deals.com.sg has the cheapest deals even for similar products. As for overseas trips, I'd advise everyone to read the fine print carefully to see what the deal actually covers!

over "marketed" deals

I think the only problem with deals.com is not the company or site itself, but rather the companies that collaborate with them. Deals.com acts just like any other marketing or advertising platform, where it becomes another point of contact between the companies and consumers. I am totally satisfied with deals.com but certainly not with the companies themselves.

Most of the deals I got from deals.com are hair deals such as hair treatment, hair dye, hair rebonding etc. They are so common that you can new hair deals almost every day; some are new salons while others are frequent “deals salons”. The one thing that disappoints me about these “services” companies is the overuse of deals.com only as a site to attract consumers over so as to hard sell their other products or services with higher margins. Many a times, the services that on are deals are not the ones that you will be getting. You will probably be asked to upgrade the service because they will say that the ones on deals are of lower quality and then starts pushing you into different products and services. Of course consumers can always say no, but it just disappoints me that most of the deals item/services I bought are of low quality that I have to upgrade them every time. "You get what you pay for" is certainly true.

Of course there are still really nice and committed companies and I will probably still look around at deals.com. However, checking for reviews before buying any deals is a must!

The deals they offer are truly eye-catching. But do not fall prey to the glitz.

I have purchased a few of their deals. The first was a package to Bintan. Everything looked great on the site. But when I was there, half the attraction and services such as spa had closed down.

The second was Japanese restaurant deal. When i reached the restaurant, i realized that they had not co-ordinated properly with Deals.com. The place was packed and there was a long queue outside. Most of the people had bought the same deal at Deals.com. By the time we sat, the staff were so overworked that the service was terrible and the food was not properly cooked.

The third and last time ever, I tried another package to Batam. The site showed a pristine resort with the sea coming right up to your longhouse. In reality, the sea never came close to the longhouse. Instead, it was a lagoon which was drained dry and smelled terrible.

I should have read this page before I made my purchases.

I am only a student and I bought $50 worth of items on deal.com.sg - it's not a huge sum, but its not a negligible sum

In four letters - deal.com.sg is a SCAM.

I bought my first item in mid-October. Only after I sent 3 emails and successfully managed to call through - customer service sent an email saying that item has been delivered, giving me the tracking number of the item. I called Singpost to check - Singpost tells me that they sent the item back because of an incomplete address. I went on to check the address details I keyed in but found that it was totally accurate and complete. All these times I tried to call their CS hotline - but the line was either engaged or no one picked up.

I am also waiting for another item that I bought two months ago. Dealer is extremely slow in replying and keeps delaying shipment. The email address is simple_buys@yahoo.com. So potential buyers, be aware, do not be as ignorant as me. What a waste of my money and time ):

I ordered an item through courier on Feb 25 and till now I have not received it. Called them and CS said redemption only started March till 14 Apr and said the courier will deliver my stuffs by 14 Apr but NO. Nothing yet so I called them and they come up with excuse said they just receive email saying the shipment is delay and we will receive the items by 21 April. I will see what excuse they going to give by then.

I will definitely not deal with them EVER AGAIN and will also advise my friends/families to think twice when getting deals with them.

I still can recall fondly the batam groupon we bought at deal.com.sg!

For $40 we received round trip ferry tickets to batam, a day trip tour, seafood lunch at the awesome golden prawn restaurant, a massage and transportation! I still have no idea how they managed to squeeze so much value, considering Batam ferry tickets already cost $40+ alone!

Had so much fun with my girl friend and she actually ended up going again on a girls trip shortly after. Will always remember this amazing offer whenever people ask me about deal.com.sg
