One of the first distinctive Singaporean films, I Not Stupid is a comedy depicting the adventures of three Primary six pupils who are placed into the EM3 stream - meaning they are deemed academically inferior to their peers. The movie covers a lot of serious topics such as the educational system and government policies in Singapore, while remaining comedic to Singaporeans and non-Singaporeans alike.
