I never understood what Tampines 1 is for.
Tampines is such a stronghold of malls already. Everything here is sheer entertainment and it's good enough for the easterners. So this was a bad experience for me. The shops here are not too shabby, the place feels cold and unassuming, nothing too special.
An alright place to go to if you are just looking for new places to go to but you're okay with disappointment. There's also stores of a higher end here so if that floats your boat, sure. If not, stick to Tampines Mall.
