Not much shopping you can do for locals but its a great place for tourist to find cheap souvenirs. There are also shops selling electronic gadgets that you can find at a good bargain. But if you are looking for authentic Indonesian food. You need to head to Lucky Plaza. Competition is very high with many Indonesia restaurants offering almost the same dishes. Their main specialty is the Nasi Ayam penyet.

My personal favorite is the Ayam penyet Ria located at the second floor of the building. Just ask the security guard or anyone there to locate the place and they will be glad enough to show you. Enjoy.

Lucky Plaza is basically the Filipino hub of Singapore. For a shopping mall which boasts over 500 retail outlets consisting mainly of souvenir shops, travel agencies and various bars.

I absolutely abhor going there on Sundays, as the place is absolutely overflowing with Filipino workers. when I get the chance, I will only visit Lucky Plaza on weekday evenings where the crowd is noticeably thinner.

Shopping-wise, I do not find anything of interest there as I find that the prices are slightly marked up, due to the influx of tourists there. however all being said, I personally love the Ayam Penyet shop on the 5th floor. Reasonably priced at $4 per plate, the ayam penyet is highly sought-after and it's not difficult to see why. A hearty meal can be walked off by exploring the numerous retail outlets there.

Walking in from the entrance near Mc Donalds down to basement 1, the smell of cigarettes was not exactly welcoming. However, it is fine as you walk further into the mall.

There are many shops that sell Singapore souvenirs at cheap prices. Most souvenirs are sold at 3 for $10. Many paraphernalia are sold at the same price too. Although the first few shops seem to be selling the same souvenirs at the same price, do not be tricked! Walk further in and you will realise there are cheaper deals! Take for example, the Merlion keychain that is sold in a pack of six is sold at 3 packs for $10 but after walking around, there are shop selling as low as 18 for $10 and 10 for $5!

But the mall is only good for people looking for souvenirs as other shops mostly sell less fashionable clothes though they are priced low.
