Tory Burch designs are perhaps described as preppy boho, or bohemian luxury with its elegant designs. Featured in the Gossip Girl series, the brand rose to popularity quickly as many excited viewers were intrigued and excited about the fashion wears of the characters. The trademark T-logo Medallion is usually seen on flats, handbags, clutches and accessories. In 2008, Tory Burch also beat the likes of Marc Jacobs in the Council of Fashion Designers of America to win the title of Accessories Designer of the Year.
Now onto the actual products, I own a pair of Reva flats. The classic flats with the tory burch logo on it. My oh my, it is SO soft and comfortable!! It did not give me blisters. It hugged my feet nicely and provides support when I walk. I personally like the silver hardware with black, instead of gold. Besides their shoes, I also adore their swimwear collections!! It has this vintage vibe about it but it costs $300+ and I am not ready to spend that much on swimwear considering I only wear them less than 5 times a year. All in all, nice brand but the store at Wisma is grossly overpriced. Go there and try and buy it online instead!!
The interior of the store reminds me very much of an enviable bedroom of a wealthy girl. The spacious layout exudes both class and comfort, which is lacking in designer stores.
The store is big and spacious, with designs for bags, flats, sunglasses, wallets, clutches, heels, sandals and more! Staff let you walk around and take your time picking out your pieces without being overbearing, but prices are exorbitant compared to their US prices in the States.
I had my eye on a pair of Tory Burch thong sandals retailing for USD195 (SGD 247) online. At the store, they were 418 dollars, almost TWICE the price! Although I am excited Tory Burch has finally opened a store in Singapore, I would much rather purchase my merchandise online.
