For me, I go to Watsons mainly for their cosmetics. Drugstore brands like Revlon, Canmake, Maybelline.

I probably tried all the testers available at all the Watsons, and I'm a really poor student, so I would usually wait for them to have sales. When they do have sales though, it's super awesome because at 20%, a canmake blush priced at $17.90 you can actually grab it for $14.30. It's quite a good deal if you think about it.

Also, if you're a member, for every $5 spent, you get one point. For every 20 points accumulated, it's a $1 rebate/discount. Although it isn't much, Watsons is probably one of the only places in Singapore that offers this service.

However, for gyaru/gal or rather, japanese style make up products like Dolly Wink and Candy Doll, Watsons really do jack up the price a lot. At least by $5, which is saying something. They're the only place in Singapore to get them though, sadly.

Another thing. Watsons don't update their make up products much. An example, the lashionista mascara from Maybelline was launched around January in Japan I believe, and even when I went to Bangkok in June, it was available there. It took another two months to reach Singapore. And there's a lot more brands that Watsons could have brought in, or even updated their racks more. The Maybelline products like the blushes at the bottom of the counters, have been at least there for 3 years or something, they just don't release new products despite their original country having produced it. Also, for the same lipstick from Revlon, it's $17.90 in Singapore, $9 SING in Bangkok, why the difference? It's really unfair somehow, but still I love Watsons, because no where else in Singapore has so many affordable make up and testers for them. My love will probably die when a better and newer store pop up though.

Just another Health and Beauty store

Watson which is quite a similar store as compare to Guardian, which is also a drug store, and provides all the essential needs in our daily lives. But it seems that these stores are more towards products for women and schooling girls, which they give nail polishes, skincare creams, and vitamin pills or even diet pills.

The store also sells many different kinds of hair-dye colors for the youngster these days, such as Gatsby Bubble Dye, Liese Bubble dye and many other kind of stuffs that you can find in Watsons. I would always go to Watsons to buy some hair-care shampoo, hair-wax, and some hair-nourishing products that they have to offer in the store.

Most people would normally go to Watsons to get shampoos, shave creams and many thing they need in their daily life all in just one store, rather then going to specific stores all over Singapore looking out for just one item, we should be thankful for it.

The customer service was rather bad as I approach them and they told me they were busy and they will get back to me, while they did not... Overall this is a place that we need to buy essential stuffs regularly.

Watsons was the kind of drugstore that most of us frequent most. This is the place where we get our plasters, toiletries, cosmetics and skincare, etc. The biggest store would be at Ngee Ann City, where there are many counters set up, occasionally with Beauty Advisors in the weekends to help customers with their concerns. At the many counters set up with brands like Maybelline, Loreal, CanMake, Essence, Za, etc. , they have testers placed conveniently for customers to test out the products. This wasn’t the kind of store where there are actually beauty advisors tailing you behind, which gives us much more freedom to test out the products we wanted.

There is actually a pharmacy and few skincare counters set up at the other side apart from the shelves and racks which makes up ½ of the store. Some of the beauty advisors at the skincare counters have really bad customer service provided. Initially, they are really friendly in explaining each of their products and what they actually help in. However, when I asked for doing a patch test for the products before buying the products, they tend to ignore most of your questions and insisted you to try their products. It isn’t pushy sales as I’ve experienced at those push cart sales, but kind of an unhappy disposition displayed when you don’t buy their products.
