There always seems to be a queue in front of Food For Thought at SAM. I used to frequent their first outlet across the road from the National Library but stopped because they decided that air-conditioning and a proper ventilation system were not necessary. This means heat, humidity and the smell of cooking in your hair and clothes.

The SAM branch is bigger but no less warm, thanks to the fact that it is basically a green house. Glass walls ensure that warmth is trapped in the premises. The logic of this escapes me. Why would anybody want to build a green house in equatorial Singapore?

Yes, the food is good. Their creme brulee is one of the best in town. The bread and butter pudding noteworthy. I'm never going back though. Too darn hot.
