Great for high tea
(Updated: December 16, 2012)
Lao Beijing is one of the places to go to if you're craving for quality Chinese food. It's not the most pocket-friendly restaurant, but their high tea buffet is very affordable at only 13 odd dollars. Of course, given what you pay, you can't ask for much, so the lack of variety is to be expected. But that shouldn't be a problem for fans of Chinese food, especially if you love xiao long bao and their minced meat noodles, which wasn't bak chor mee but about as satisfying. The spread on the buffet table wasn't too bad but the best, for me, were the xiao long bao. We liked a couple of things on the buffet table too but didn't touch much of those because we wanted to save room for more xiao long bao.
