I used to live in an apartment near this stall, and hence to nobody's surprise, started being a regular. The owner is a jolly old man, who apparently knew me since I was a young kid, and was on great speaking terms with my dad. Naturally, whenever I order from him, I'll get an extra handful of mee/prawns without extra cost.

His noodles are extremely nostalgic, old school Hokkien Mee. The ingredients are rather fresh and top-notch, and even though after all these years, I would still crave for a plate or two of this childhood delight.

Get it before it's no longer available.

This stall is located in a hawker centre along Old Airport Road and I first came to know about this stall when it was featured in The Popular Food Guide 3. I remember the first time when I went there and saw that long queue in front of this stall during lunch time. I had to wait for about 30 minutes. Nam Seng Hokkien Fried Mee is the dry type (some fried hokkien mee have more gravy), with much of the thick gravy absorbed by the Noodles and the thin Bee Hoon. It is my first time seeing fried hokkien mee using thin beehoon, usually what I ate is thick beehoon. The noodles are not soggy, the prawns and squids are fresh too. They are fried with plenty of eggs – simply fantastic.
