Nothing beats a cheap AND good dim sum place when you're not with your parents. 126 offers a wide range of dimsum from classic siewmai and hargaos to steam buns with crab meat gravy.

I would always order the century egg porridge with shredded pork because they are so generous with the ingredients and it's just so worth the price. The Otah, though, not very special, is another dish that you will definitely see on my table.

My friends and I were craving Xiao Long Baos once but the ones here paled to our expectations. The soupy insides were really oily and the meat has this porky stench.

This is the place to dimsum-binge!

A friend of mine recommended this place to me and I made the pilgrimage to Geylang to try it out. Three words: Dim Sum Heaven!! The prices are super-affordable, the food is delicious (try the century egg congee and sliced fish congee). Also, keep the menu close-by, because inevitably, you're going to order seconds!

The ambiance is exactly how you want it. No frills, no bs, functional. But come on, I went there to gorge on dim sum and not look at the decor!

Love this place!

First of all, the branch I have been to was along serangoon road, near boon keng MRT. This is the main kitchen where they produce their dim sum, and bring it over to the geylang branch. So the food would be more fresh here.

Due to the open air nature, it may get warm depending on the weather. However, as it opens only at night, it is rather cooling.

A look at the menu showed me what I wanted. A huge variety of dishes only at about $2-$5 each. At this price, it would be great choice for large families to gather together and catch up over dinner. It is also good for friends to hang out while having dim sum.

Char shao bao and har gau are the main dishes in all dim sum. Thus, I would mainly be commenting about them. The Char shao bao taste great, but the skin is a little too thick for my liking. In this sense, Ho Kee Pau's char shao bao is actually better. However, this one is not far behind.

The Har Gau is rich in it's taste, and the skin is not too thin as seen in many other restaurants. This came as a surprise for me, as I was not expecting something this good for its price.

The other dishes I tried were also great, notably the glutinous rice, which retained the smell and taste, while not being overly sticky.

The auntie serving me was friendly and helpful in suggesting what to order. She also likes to chat with customers if you are friendly with her as well.

Final note, I often go to Hong Kong to visit my relatives, so I have tried many dim sum in Hong Kong. Honestly, this stall is unable to compete with Hong Kong's standards, but here in Singapore, it is actually one of the best dim sum I have tried.

Great for a break of the normal restaurant food or local food!

With that huge array of dishes they serve, one easily gets lost in the variety. But no fret! There are loads of pictures provided, or order at your own risk. The risk is low then, for they serve cheap, good, no frills dim sum.

Hungry at night? No problem. They serve till the wee hours of the morning! You can either sit inside in the comfort of air conditioning or choose to rough it out outside. Their dimsum is cheap and good, they serve their drinks in large quantities too. Good supper and breakfast place, I must say. The service is fast and efficient and they also serve up some mean tze char dishes like fried rice.
