Opened by the Fei Siong Group, EAT. was conceptualised as a “one -stop shop” food outlet serving local traditional fare like minced pork noodles with mushroom (“bak chor mee”), fishball noodles and laksa as well as finger food items like fishcake, chicken wings and many others together with beverages. Fei Siong Group has opened 21 outlets island-wide, with 4 outlets operating 24/7. These outlets are located at The Rail Mall, Jurong Point, Tiong Bahru Plaza, and Woodlands MRT Station.

Hawker food on the go
Overall Score
EAT. is a chain of cafes that bring your staple hawker food to the shopping malls. Their fishball noodles are decent, but just like any fast food outlet, you should be expect to compromise on quality for speed and convenience.

The fish ball noodles are made by FeiSiong group, which sells their ingredients in supermarkets as well. So if you liked what you tried at EAT. you head down to the nearest supermarket and try making it at home.

Let's eat at EAT.
Overall Score
This restaurant is everywhere, but initially, my guts wouldn’t trust hawker fare from a restaurant. Shouldn’t local food be enjoyed in an open air food centre, surrounded by sweaty bodies and tables choped with tissue packets? However, my Bak Chor Mee craving got the better of me one day, and I vacated my study haven at the library to grab lunch at their Woodlands MRT Station outlet.

The Dry Fishball Mee Pok served had too much vinegar for my taste, almost overpowering the entire dish. Still, the noodles were delectable, and I wolfed them down quick. What I really cared about were the fish balls, which were bouncy and tasty. My Bak Chor Mee cravings usually just meant fish ball cravings, and the ones from here are the exact kind I like, much to my delight.

EAT. is the place to go to satisfy any Chinese noodle cravings, but maybe only if there isn’t a better option in the vicinity. Their factory-style counter ensures quick and efficient service, so it would be the best option if you’re in a hurry.
