Most of the food in this place is rather average, like the laksa and wanton noodles. In fact, the food centre's hawker stalls seem no different from others. However, there are a few stalls which sell tasty and delicious food at affordable prices.

There is a shop selling pig's organ soup, while the soup itself is not fantastic, what is good from this shop is the glutinous rice roll, which has a unique flavour and rain texture that makes it one of a kind. There is also the famous tiong bahru chwee kueh which has its original shop here which has served its legendary vegetable oil and flour cakes with chai poh for years. Do also give the roast suckling pig a try from the tiong bahru meat shop.

The food centre is hot so i'l advise going there on a cool day. For old timers, prepare for disappointment as the food centre is not as good as before.
