For every chocolate lover out there, Max Brenner's has to be a chocolate heaven. I usually go to the one at the Esplanade, and what would always fascinate me was the huge mountain of chocolate displayed at the counter. I don't know if they actually use it or its just for display purposes, but whatever its use, they sure know how to catch your eye and your stomach :)

There is one dish that i have to get at Max Brenner's- their belgian waffles. Imagine this- hot and fluffy waffles piled high with with fat plump bananas, juicy ripe strawberries and a scoop of divine vanilla ice cream and as if that were insufficient, they give you this little bottle of chocolate sauce to pour over your waffles! Divine!!! The only gripe i have is the scoop of ice cream is too small! I need more! :)

The price for chocolate here, however, can be quite steep. Hence, this is a place i go to during special occasions or if i really want to reward myself.

The decor of Max Brenner's at the Esplanade makes it a good place to chill out and people watch. Large glass panels means full excess to people passing by. The shop itself is filled with chocolate brown hues, adhering to the chocolate theme that they pride themselves by. It is also a lovely place to read a book or just relax. LIfe can never go wrong while drinking a cup of hot chocolate. :)

DECADENCE. That is one word I would describe my experience at the Max Brenner Chocolate Bar.

I visited the outlet at the Esplanade with my girlfriends for some high tea, and boy, I have to say, Max Brenner was worth every penny, and possibly calorie!
While most of the patrons there were merely sipping on their chocolate mugs or milkshake smoothies, I decided to either go big or go home. Of course, I chose the former.

The peanut butter iced 'choctail' is a chocolate frappe that comes in a tall glass called the Alice Cup, complete with a steel straw for you to enjoy the bliss of every sip. Nutty and chocolaty at the same time, I reveled in absolute delight whilst waiting for my "main course"- the choc-banana pizza. The pizza is quintessentially a traditional pizza layered with pure melted chocolate and a choice of caramelized pecans, bananas or melted marshmallows as toppings. Of course, I chose the traditional banana and chocolate combo, and my mouth was an explosion of sweetness and symphonious harmony between the fresh banana slices and melted milk and white chocolate mixture.

I left the place feeling satisfied and very full, slightly too full if I might add, so order in moderation at Max Brenner because the chocolate can get really filling...but too much chocolate never hurt right?

Max Brenner has got to be the best chocolate bar I've been to! With it's fun-loving concept, the stores are cosy and the menus colourful, making you excited to try your favourite treat since childhood.

Being a little on the pricier side, my friend and I shared the Smores dessert as well as a cup of dark hot chocolate. The Smores set came with chocolate biscuits, caramel, bananas, marshmallows and chocolate buttons, but these aren't just any regular combination you find elsewhere. The ingredients blended so well together to tantalize your tastebuds, making your beg for more. As for the hot chocolate, it was so rich and creamy we were simply blown away.

Their chocolate are top-notch, and that, makes all the difference.

For a place that calls itself a chocolate bar, the weight of its worth must lie in its chocolate drinks and that’s exactly what I had both times I was here. A simple hot dark chocolate served in a rather cute mango shaped cup – affectionately known as the Hug Mug. There is no doubt that the chocolate served here is a pure indulgence, each sip is rich, thick and intensely cocoa flavoured – imagine melting a bar of dark chocolate and drinking that right up – it’s simply heavenly. Strangely, the drink doesn’t leave your throat dry and parched as you might expect after downing a cup of pure chocolate. It is rather pricey at $5.50 a cup but worth it for a taste of pure chocolate heaven.

I have only been to Max Brenner Chocolate Bar once at Vivo City a couple of years ago, but till this day, I can clearly remember the delightful chocolatey experience I had back then. The outlet at Vivo is rather small and can be cramp if there is too many people, but thankfully during the time I went, there was hardly anyone there.

Ordered their marshmallow crepe, and it was AMAZING. Fell in love with it at first sight, and well in love with it further at first bite! Hot gooey melted marshmallows wrapped with a crepe, and decorated with chocolate sauce and gummy bears, appealing and irresistible. Can never forget the taste, and have even tried to recreate my own marshmallow crepe at home, but I fail so badly at cooking, and the outcome was bad.

Unfortunately, when I went to Vivo City recently, I went to take a look at Max Brenner's menu and realized that the marshmallow crepe dish was GONE. Thank goodness I got to try it once, but I am sad that it is no longer in the menu. I guess that this will open more doors to their other dishes, and I definitely wanna give their drinks a try next time I visit Max Brenner Chocolate Bar.

I will have to warn you that the prices are killer. Majority of their items cost more than $10, and their drinks cost around $6 and up, if I remember correctly. But there is nothing wrong with treating yourself to a plateful of chocolatey awesomeness every once in a while, right? ;)

Max Brenner is an Israeli chocolate chain that is popular in many countries including Australia. In Israel, the stores are almost as ubiquitous as Starbucks in Singapore. I'm not sure why they haven't been as successful here.

My top reason for visiting Max Brenner is catching up with friends after watching a concert together at Esplanade. You don't have to walk very far and you can enjoy a soothing hot chocolate and maybe a late-night snack of waffles. I know the menu is more extensive than that, but I'm perpetually on a budget, heh.

Your hot choc comes in Brenner's classic "Hug Mug", which is really a stout little cup. I never actually see people "hugging" it with both hands though. Drink up your chocolate quickly though, otherwise a thin film forms on the top, which is a little gross. If you like your drink, you can buy packs of chocolate pellets (dark, white, milk) to reproduce your drink at home.

Everyone deserves a good treat. A good chocolate treat. What’s a better place than Max Brenner for all the chocolate lovers out there.

Max Brenner has one of the most delicious waffles in Singapore and it MAY be one of the most expensive waffles as well. If you happen to pop by Max Brenner and yet has no cravings for waffles, I suggest you try their hot chocolate. They serve excellent hot chocolate which are rich, thick and smooth. Unlike most places which serve hot chocolate that tastes like hot milo. The hot chocolate is served in this hug mug which looks extremely cute. There are also marshmellows served on top of the hot chocolate. Ahhh.... extremely gratifying on a cold rainy day.

We visited the outlet at Vivocity which is smack right beside Gelare. We contemplated for a while before we decided on forgoing the Tuesday half price promotion at Gelare and ended up spending about twice the amount we would spend in Gelare. In terms of the texture of the waffles, it is thick and flffy, hot and yummy. It took quite some time for the waffles to arrive. Unlike places like gelare and udders, the waffles at Max Brenner are served with caramel and nuts. It is simply delectable.

I am one who has a sweet tooth. Max Brenner Chocolate Bar would be my all-time favourite place to nom on after a meal, if it wasn't for the abysmally high prices they charge here.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how a simple shake can cost more than $10. Although quality is no doubt there - an ex used to work there on vacations, and she often brought me samples - but in my opinion, nothing there warrants the price tag. Sadly, I am a sucker for good chocolate desserts, and I would always love to bring a date here after a good night out, emptying my wallets out with no regrets.

If prices drop by $2, it would be more worthwhile. Other than that, this is truly a great place for one to satiate his or her craving for chocolate.

I am a big fan of all sweet treats and I have to say, It is a must for all chocolate lovers to visit Max Brenner's chocolate bar. The outlet has nice decorations, I find that eating chocolate whilst being surrounded by cocoa beans depicts that the chocolate bar lives up to its name of being a 'chocolate haven'

The chocolate fondue is a must have for all chocolate connoisseurs for it truly is a great experience on its own. Imagine dipping marshmallows into warm chocolate and tasting a whole new world of richness!

Though I find that the stuff here are generally pricey, it is most definitely worth the cost.

Max Brenner is THE place to go if you have a severe chocolate craving to satisfy. And I repeat severe. Just like everyone else, let me spend some time raving about the chocolate fondue!! Firstly, presentation wise, it is so cute and classy. Secondly, I love having my choices - although they have different types of chocolate dips, I could DRINK the milk chocolate dip because it is just amazing! And lastly, it is YUMMY. Enough said.

No but seriously, the fondue is a must-try if you have never been to max brenner. Although I admit that the prices there aren't very wallet-friendly. And the servings are rather small. For example, the fondue that I had is probably best shared by 2 people. But to split the cost by 2, it is still rather pricey. However the ambience is rather good with its warm lighting and dark furniture, the outlet at vivocity makes for a very cosy place to enjoy such sinful pleasures ;)

As I've mentioned, this place is meant for chocolate lovers therefore do note that the drinks are really chocolatey, no kidding. A whole glass of it is going to fill you right up and you're going to get a sugar rush blast! So do remember to pace your drink and of course drink LOTS of water lest your throat suffers the side effects of indulgence!
