I am having an affair...with Godiva Chocolatier. I was first introduced to Godiva when a friend of mine bought some for me as a performance gift.. one taste and I was enraptured. The chocolates are nicely packaged, all beautifully crafted with just the right kind of 'melt in your mouth' taste. Heavenly. I could not bear to eat them so quickly, and just savoured them slowly over the weeks.

Of course, Godiva Chocolatier is expensive, as such high quality tasting chocolates should be. It's worth one in awhile indulgence, or to shower your beloved on a special occasion. They provide gift baskets, seasonal chocolates, and have a wide range of chocolates to choose from their menu. Their truffles are really delicious and will forever be in my memory.

Worth the money

Chocolate is very rich in flavour, especially their dark chocolate. Melts instantly when in the mouth, richness you can savour all day long.

My first godiva chocolate was given by my aunt after her trip to Canada, hence my family calls it 'canada chocolate' - lol. Within one bite, I was hooked onto it. I remember fighting with my brother for that one last piece, that is how good it was.

Although it is quite expensive, about $10 for one bar, it is definitely worth the money. I would rather indulge in Godiva once in a while than other cheaper chocolates.

If you haven't tried it, you are definitely missing out on probably the best chocolate on earth.

I had passed by the shop at Raffles City many times and from the decoration of the shop, I guessed that the products sold should be very expensive. So I had not stepped into the shop before.

Last Christmas, I thought I would thank my staff by buying them some good chocolates and so I finally entered the shop. The staff was very polite and I was not quite used to such good service from a staff in a candy shop. I looked around the items on sales and realised I was being served by a staff from a goldsmith shop and not candy shop.

I calculated that if I were to buy enough quantity for all my staff, it would cost me well over a hundred dollars even if I chose the cheapest chocolates. I ended up leaving the shop with no purchase.

Once in a while indulgence!

I am the type who when i want chocolate, i'd rather go for the real thing then the fake ones, even though how dirt cheap they cost. This is because these chocolates most probably just have less than a hint of cocoa in them and mostly just sugar, so the product ends up tasting sweet and plasticky, which just makes the whole chocolate experience horrible.

I'd rather slowly savor a small piece of quality chocolate and enjoy every single bite. And godiva chocolates surely does it for me. It is really a once in a while indulgence though, or it would be great as a gift to someone special.
