Sweet Deals You Just Can’t Pass Up
Overall Score

4.5
Being a scatterbrain, I often forget to get some gifts for my friends before I head for their performances. Choc Spot has always been my saving grace for times like these. With a wide selection of chocolates, I can pick out the most atas looking ones and avoid showing up to concerts empty handed.

Despite its moniker, Choc Spot also sells other snacks. Check out their assorted selection of gummies or biscuits and I guarantee you will not be leaving the store empty-handed. Their Naturals Chips are a personal favourite. Choose from a ton of exotic flavours such as Rosemary and Olive ($2.50 per packet). They’re pretty addictive though, so you might wanna renew that gym membership before you get your hands on them. #Don’tSayINeverWarnYou

Also, look out for discounts and you might be saving a lot of money at the store. The last time I visited, I managed to get a packet of 3 Ferrero Rochers at just $1. Besides that, Choc Spot sells a ton of unfamiliar brands, so patrons can take the opportunity to uncover hidden gems in the realm of all things chocolate.

competitive prices, limited selection
Overall Score

CHOC SPOT is a one-stop shop for all things sweet, offering a variety of different chocolates, cookies and snacks. I’ve visited both their NEX and Bedok Mall outlets before, and there’s so many great deals there that I can never leave empty handed. Prices are a little lower than in supermarkets, featuring brands like Hawaiian Host and Ritter Sport.

The interior of the shop didn’t look too promising at first, as it looked quite tacky and cheap. However the variety of products sold in CHOC SPOT is pretty decent, and they’re priced really competitively. They even stock Jelly Belly’s Bean Boozled which can’t be found in supermarkets. Since they specialise in imported confectionery, there were a lot of brands that I was not familiar with. CHOC SPOT also has promotions quite often, so you can get your chocolate and cookie fix even cheaper now! It’s also really convenient to get to CHOC SPOT since they have 9 outlets island wide, primarily in sub-urban malls.

The cheaper version of Candy Empire
Overall Score

4.0
For those broke chocolate lovers out there like me who can’t afford to shop at Candy Empire, Choc Spot is our saving grace. I can get a satisfying stash of chocolate and snacks from Choc Spot without having to burn a hole in my pocket. It’s amazing.

Choc spot sells a variety of chocolate which admittedly, isn’t as wide a range as Candy Empire. However, the have the staple chocolates that everyone loves such as KitKat or Hershey. The prices are also way lower than that of Candy Empire’s, especially when they have their frequent sales. Another of my favourites is the Pomsticks potato chips. They are often on promotion so you can get it at a decent price. The chips are so tasty and crispy, and they come in sticks like french fries. So cute!

If you happen to pass Choc Spot, get a packet of Pomsticks and I’m sure you’ll get hooked. One packet wouldn’t be enough, for sure.
