I don't know what's up with us Singaporeans going crazy every time some foreign brand opens up a stall here ala Tim Ho Wan. The week Krispy Kreme opened in Singapore, the line was a good 100 metres long!

Come on people, its not THAT good. No donut can possibly be worth queueing more than 30 minutes for. Ok maybe its easy for me to say because I had already tried it once in KL.

That being said, I was quite blown away the first time I ate KK. IMO, only the regular sugar glazed donut lives up to the hype. It looks unassuming at first impressions - a donut with a thin, translucent sugar glaze coating over it. Nothing fancy about it, but damn does it taste good.

Moral of the story: To enjoy it, give it a few months to let the queue die down, and go in with zero expectations.
