To be honest, I didn't know Krispy Kreme and all its hype when it first opened. All I saw was a slew of pictures on my social media and people carrying bags of boxes of donuts around town. I thought they just came to Singapore for a short flash sale.

One thing about Singapore is that we tend to have these short periods of 'hypes', whereby suddenly a certain thing/food/fashion is all the craze and suddenly you see 90% of the people are wearing/eating/having them. Sometimes it really drives me crazy. Likewise for me, after knowing that Krispy Kreme is here for good, I wasn't inclined to queue for 1-2 hours just to get my donut fix.

I'm the 'ill-wait-till-the-hype-dies' sorta person. Then yesterday, mum brought back a single piece of a oreo topped donut for me from work. Krispy Kreme donut without the queue. Brilliant.

On to the taste now. I wasn't really expecting much from them to be frank. Like c'mon, how good can it be? But, BUT. when I took my first bite into the yeasted, fried dough, my mind screamed "HOLY SHIT, THIS NUT IS GOOD". It was so soft, the frosting not too sweet and like their site claims "melt-in-your-mouth'. ooh yea. It took a hell load of willpower for me to leave it for the next day considering it was already midnight.

Seems like someone would/may probably be joining some queues.
