Western food was and will never be a big part of my diet. If it wasn't for a gathering that I had to attend here, I probably would have never stepped foot into this place. BREEKS cafe sells Western food like burgers, pasta, fish and chips at restaurant prices. Around $14.90 - $17.90 per dish would be a safe estimate. I ordered a serving of fish and chips because I didn't felt like having pasta that day and I would prefer going to an Italian restaurant for pasta. After all, if a Western place cannot do fish and chips well, how can it call itself a Western cafe right?

The fish and chips surprised me. In a bad way. The fish was most likely frozen fish and the batter was so heavy. I like fish and chips that are light and fluffy. Definitely not this. I could walk to Holland Village market and get better fish and chips for 1/3 or 1/4 the price. This place is not only expensive, but not impressive at all. Just below average Western food at bad prices. Service was average. The store was clean and felt comfortable though, that's the saving factor of Breeks. If you are truly looking for a good place to have Western food at, I would not recommend visiting Breeks. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here again!

Your wallet will certainly catch fire when you eat at Breeks, and sadly, the quality of the food does not match the high prices. I mean, it's actually okay, but I expected more flavour out of the food that they serve. They do have interesting concepts and dishes, like a Tom Yam Spaghetti, but the price is too off-putting for a mediocre tasting dish.

The service is not bad. generally the staff is kind and served us well. The food was cooked in good time. Not too long or short.

As for the ambiance, I give a shake of my head. I went to Breeks at Anchorpoint and Habourfront centre, and in both areas the restaurant is situated in a very open area, in the middle of the shopping paths. I feel very uncomfortable dining in Breeks and would not recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a quiet ambiance.,

Breeks cafe wouldn't be my first choice for western food. However, a few months back, they had a 1 for 1 offer for main course. Since it was such a good deal, my family and I headed to their outlet at Changi Airport Terminal 2 for dinner.

I ordered a beef and chicken grill set with fries. The beef and chicken were passable and the mushroom sauce helped complement the meat. In fact the meal was so mediocre that there wasn't anything worth remembering.

I don't think I'd every try Breeks if not for the 1 for 1 offer. The usual price of their main courses are quite pricey for food of such standard.

So bad...

Breeks cafe is so bad.

I can't remember why because it's been so long since I went to Breeks and I hope they've improved. The first time I went to Breeks was also my last time there. I remember they got the doneness of my steak wrong and the vegetables (broccoli and carrots) were so hard! I don't even know how they prepared it. It was just tough veg, yknow? Tough life I've got!

The one I went to was the one at Harbourfront. The service wasn't that great either. Everything else other than the service was so-so, because everything else was bad.
I think my mum could cook better. So.. It's expensive for the quality of food you're getting. Big disappointment.
