If you're looking to add a restaurant that serves cheap and good food onto your list of go-to dining places, then Saizeriya is the place for you. It offers good quality food at really affordable prices, making it a hit among students and working class adults alike.

At Saizeriya, you get what you pay for. Yes, this isn't fine dining. However, for anything between as low as $3.90 to about $13.00, you can get a range of foods from salads to pizzas, pastas and baked rice. Portions are relatively filling, and they taste pretty good especially considering the price. And for about $2.50, you can get free flow drinks as well. They also have a range of desserts, from vanilla ice cream for as low as $1.90 to tiramisu and panna cotta for no more than $5.00.

If you're looking for good food at great prices, and would like something different from your usual hawker fare, then definitely give Saizeriya a try.

The Orientation Group Restaurant
Overall Score

4.0
Marked by its spacious interior and free-flow drinks, Saizeriya is a popular dining option for orientation groups, CCAs and classes on their first day together.

I usually see Saizeriya as JustAcia with better food, my go-to dish being the Salmon Doria ($5.90). However, the food here isn’t too good either. The Salmon Doria is basically white rice drowning in white sauce - far too creamy for a regular person’s taste buds. They do serve a generous number of smoked salmon pieces though, which are tasty, albeit a little too salty. But considering the extremely cheap prices of the food here, you are getting your money’s worth.

Saizeriya probably isn’t the place to go for a regular meal on a regular day, but do visit if you’re looking for the perfect place to play shoot shag marry with your latest group of friends!

If you're broke but still want to dine out with your buddies, yet wanting to dine in an air-controlled environment that is not fast-food, Saizariya is the place to be. Selling a great range of food from western cuisines, from pastas to pizzas to even escargot, at an amazingly affordable price.

Though the service was super average to bad at times, it was overall comedic the way the staff behaved sometimes. The waiting time for the food was about 10 - 20 minutes. But the waiting time was obsolete since we were just busy catching up with my friends. I got the mushroom pasta and the salmon pizza. Overall, the portions were reasonable and the pizza were not bad at all.

Overall, while the food isn't mind-blowing, I would gladly go back there for the affordability.

Saizeriya has got to be one of my affordable food locations I would go to when I am on a budget. This restaurant is great for friends, groups, families and couples. Sometimes, it gets a little too noisy when large groups done there, especially the branch at The Cathay.

Food is served fast after ordering and drinks are self-service. Plain water is free, but other drinks you need to pay $2.80 for refillable options. My usual dish options will always be the creamy bacon carbonara which is also one of their best seller and chef recommendations there. My friends will choose the vongole clams pasta in spicy seafood sauce. The clams are super tasty and fresh and there are no shell or sand bits inside. We will also order the 8pcs wings set which is honey base marinated. I love the wings, it is so good, especially when it just came out grilled! The slight crispiness of the skin makes you want for more.

The menu has a lot of variety, except desserts which only has a few options to choose from. But try their lava moist cake. They have pizzas, steaks, chicken and sausage combo set which are served on a teppan style plate. Prices are good, cheap and reasonable. Most of the dishes are priced at $5.90, so many students loved to dine there. For this price, you get to fill your stomach full, and you know it is all worth it!

Would definitely go back again!

The main attraction about this place is, to me, that the food here is oh so very affordable. This is the restaurant I went to as a secondary school student with friends when we wanted something more atas than hawker food and more nutritious than fast food. Also, they have free-flow drinks and student pricing, so this was like heaven to us.

Although the prices here are low, they don't compromise on the taste. It surely doesn't compare to food at classier/more expensive restaurants, but it doesn't leave much room for complaint. Also, I remember being really impressed by how you could just press a button and waiters would come to your table. It takes all the awkwardness out of raising your hand in a busy restaurant and whisper-yelling "hello? waiter?" Service here is not extraordinary, but very good considering the restaurant is usually busy but the waiters don't show any impatience or poor attitude.

Overall, food and service here isn't extraordinary per se, but once the price is factored in, this place becomes instantly unbelievable and seems a little too good to be true.

Saizeriya is a great place for those on budget but would like to try decent Italian food. They also offer free flow drinks for $2.50, and you can choose from soft drinks, to hot coffee, to Milo and hot tea!

I wouldn't say the food taste fantastic but it's decent considering that it's cheap. I highly recommend the oven baked escargot. It cost only $5.80 and it tasted pretty good! I don't think I can find this price for escargot anywhere else in Singapore.

Saizeriya is my go-to whenever I'm meeting my friends and we don't wanna spend too much, or are too lazy to think of new places to eat. The outlet at Liang Court is especially good for the purposes of keeping within a budget, because almost all the food at Clarke Quay is expensive. Saizeriya is also good for meeting old friends and catching up because it's a really relaxed environment and you can stay and talk, they won't chase you away.

Don't expect Mastechef-standard food, but I would say the standard is pretty good considering that it's cheaper than most restaurants. I would recommend the escargots, which are tasty and exceptionally cheap compared to what you can get at other places.

I will mention, though, that once I saw hair in my dish halfway through my meal. I notified the server, he took it away to the kitchen. The manager came back (without the dish) and said that there was no hair. I told him again that there was, and without acknowledging the validity of my comment, he proceeded to replace my dish. Not the best service on this particular occasion, but no complaints otherwise.

Open in the newly launched Orchard Gateway Shopping Centre, Saizeriya is located in a corner of B2 but does get very crowded at lunch times on weekdays with both students and the working crowd.

Perhaps due to their very popular lunch set meals which includes free flow drinks and a small salad, do try to get there a little earlier to beat the crowd.

Food Recommendations:
1. Chicken Wings: Coming in sets of 4 or 8. The chicken wings are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
2. Baked Rice: For those expecting a deep dish with generous helping of rice like other baked rice dishes in Singapore, this is the exact opposite. Served on a hot plate a thin layer of rice is covered with a generous cheese layer and though you may think it will not fill you up - the portion is actually just right as opposed to feeling too heavy.
3. Grilled pulled pork: As part of their set lunch meal options, the pork has a thin layer of fat that adds to its flavour (yes don't we all love just that bit of fat) and comes with a sunny side up
4. Black pepper chicken spaghetti: Deep fried chicken and pasta in a salty black pepper sauce. Tastes great with the crushed red pepper and cheese sprinkled over the top.

Don't Bother With:
1. Cabonara: They might say its their best seller but its just bland. Nothing special to it despite being a painfully easy dish to cook.
2. Pizza: Tasting like pita bread with tomato sauce and a very thin layer of cheese, its really something you can just cook at home.

Overall: Great value for money and at a very good location!

Saizeriya is one of the rare few restaurants left that actually allow you to have a decent meal for a fraction of exorbitant prices. I have to say that for its relatively cheap pricing, the quality of food there gave me a pleasant surprise. A plate of rather tasty escargots will cost you $5.90 and the price of a plate of baked rice can be as low as $4.90 nett. There probably wouldn't be any other places serving up a decent dish of escargot at such an affordable price.

Although service is almost none existent and you will most likely have to wait for quite a bit of time before your order will be taken, it will all be worth it when you realize that this Italian restaurant does not charge for service or even GST.

Absolutely recommended for all diners (whether on budget or not), if not just to bask in the contentedness of having walked away with a fantastic foodie deal well worth the money.

I first tried this overseas, and really liked it. I was quite glad to know that they were going to open at The Cathay, which was definitely more accessible than the other outlets.

Even though it was very affordable, I found that the quality of the food was not as good as the one I ate in Shanghai. Do go there for their cheap main dishes. Even though the quality was not as great, I think I'll still go there if I am on a budget.
